The Mineralogy of Objects

Astor Alive! Festival

Saturday, September 17: Danspace Project joins The Village Alliance Business Improvement District and many local organizations in the first-ever Astor Alive! Festival. Choreographers Laurie Berg and Douglas Dunn + Dancers perform site-specific works at the Festival's Dance Plaza (near the Uptown 6 train entrance between 8th and 9th streets).

Each performance will occur three times throughout the afternoon:
Douglas Dunn + Dancers at 1:30, 3:00 and 4:00
Laurie Berg at 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30

Joined by my fabulous cast of collaborators: Jodi Bender, Bessie McDonough-Thayer, Jillian Sweeney
Sound: Karl Scholz

Funding Credits: The Creation of The Mineralogy of Objects was made possible, in part, by the Danspace Project 2014-15 Commissioning Initiative, with support from the Jerome Foundation and the Mertz Gilmore Foundation's Late-Stage Production Stipend AND a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant. Additional support was received through a creative residency in South Haven, MI with generous donations of rehearsal and living space from Dianne and Steve Wagner, The Saugatuck Center for the Arts, and Foundry Hall.
